Dear Friend, While the Pasadena City Council has voted 6-2 against endorsing the report submitted by the Pasadena Commission on Human Relations, we believe this is only the beginning of our campaign to educate the City Council and the Tournament of Roses on the importance of human rights. We want to thank the Commissioners for what even the City Council admitted "an extraordinary report". At the City Council meeting on October 29, we have gotten some very important endorsements from the community: Joe Brown, President, NAACP Pasadena Chapter Bob McCloskey, long time labor activist Father Gerard O'Brien of Assumption Catholic Church in Pasadena (Father missed the chance to speak because of the cutoff). China Ministries International (submitted statement) and many others. Please join us in this most important March for Human Rights.
